Stamand, Chelemaque

SPONSORED

These piercing little eyes have already seen some hard times, even at less than three months old.  Chelemaque Stamand  was born with a cleft palate, which not only means a slim chance of getting enough nutrition, but it also means his Mama spends hours each day with a dropper, trying to get those nutrients into his little tummy without drowning him.  Nursing was out of the question, and his parents were running out of money to buy formula when they came to the clinic.  Reparative surgery has to wait until he is a few months along in life, and even then it will be expensive.  The nurses at clinic are working to make the connections to get his surgery done, but until that can happen, he's on Milk Program.

Rose-Mika Geffrand

Meet Rose-mika Geffrand, a little bundle of cuteness whose Mama was very sick and had to be on meds that made it impossible for her to nurse her little one.  An aunt brought the baby to us to see if we could help, as they were poor and had medical bills to worry about, never mind expensive baby formula.
After a month on the program, Rose-mika is gaining well, and on her way to a new look...chubbiness! :)
